About James:
James Hamilton is a veteran tattoo artist of over 20 years, Miami Lakes native, relocated to South Beach in the late nineties and returned to bring you Lost Lake Tattoo and Piercing.
James began his tattoo apprenticeship in 1998 with Tattoo legend Ken Cameron and Omi James at Miami’s famous Tattoo’s by Lou and began tattooing in 2000. He worked at Tattoos by Lou until 2005. When the Miami Ink studio opened, James went to work there, with mentor and friend Omi James. During the filming of the Miami Ink Reality TV show, James worked behind the scenes, managing the shop when they were done filming. He gained a lot of experience working at this high-paced Tattoo Shop and tattooing people from all over the world. James enjoys tattooing many different styles; black & grey, Japanese, and even small infinity knots. He specializes in cover-ups and finds it very gratifying to transform a bad experience into a good one.
He is honored to have opened his own shop in his hometown of Miami Lakes, with his wife, Barbara Hamilton. James and Barbara are your neighbors and invite you all to come into their shop to meet the team and check out the art and cool stuff they have collected over the years.
